National Mentoring Month: January 2013

January, 2013, was the 12th annual National Mentoring Month.

National Mentoring Month Breakfast for all school-based mentors in Champaign-Urbana was held on Wednesday, January 16th, 7:15-8:30 a.m. at The Vineyard Church Cafe.  More than 100 mentors attended.  A panel of high school students talked about the impact their mentor has had on their lives and the encouragement they've given them to overcome significant obstacles in their lives.

Thank Your Mentor Day was Thursday, January 17th.
