National Mentoring Month: January 2010
January, 2010, was the 9th annual National Mentoring Month.
National Mentoring Month Breakfast for all school-based mentors in Champaign-Urbana was held at the Vineyard Church Cafe, 1500 N. Lincoln Avenue, Urbana.
Wednesday, January 13th
Thank Your Mentor Day was Thursday, January 21st. Our mentor training sessions for second semester will be held on Thursday, February 4th, 6:30-8:30 at the Urbana Free Library and on Thursday, February 11th, 11:30-1:30 at the Mellon Building, 703 S. New, Champaign. Invite a friend to apply to become a mentor and attend one of the training sessions.
Write a Letter to the Editor about your experience as a mentor. Nearly 20% of our current mentors heard about mentoring through the newspaper!
